Favorite coffee recipe: This pourover coffee recipe makes around half of a liter of coffee. I usually prepare with a Hario V60 dripper using beans from Counter Culture Coffee.

  1. Setup: Begin by boiling a liter of water in a gooseneck kettle. Weigh 46 grams of coffee beans and grind to medium-fine coarseness. Place paper filter inside coffee dripper and pre-wet with hot water. Dispose water.
  2. Pre-wetting: Place dripper and wetted filter on mug. After evenly distributing grounds in dripper, make a small divot in the center. Zero the scale. Start the timer and pour 92 grams of water into dripper. Make sure there are no dry spots.
  3. First pour: At 40 seconds, quickly pour an additional 200g (292g total) of water directly into the center of the dripper.
  4. Second pour: Shake the dripper to make sure that the grounds settle evenly. Slowly pour water clockwise. Steadily expand and contract the circle's radius, evenly covering the grounds. Stop pouring at the 540 gram mark.
